Amazing customer service from Susan in the pharmacy today. I have been having issues at my own pharmacy and her service despite only lasting 10 minutes was enough for me to consider changing to Boots pharmacy. So warm and friendly, where as my current pharmacy makes you feel like a burden. Cannot praise enough!

I was disappointed when buying my Christmas present from Boots in Harrogate this afternoon (Black Friday). I spent almost £90 on two Chanel no5 items - but they weren't presented in the usual Chansl bag until I asked for one. Neither was I given a discount voucher for No 7 - sitting right next to the till - I also had to ask for that

I’ve been trying to get the pharmacy department in Harrogate Boot on the phone just to find if my prescription which they received last Tuesday it is now Saturday for a total of 10 times from 4 times yesterday to 6 times today from 08:30 and still the answer is the pharmacy department is EXTREMELY busy try again later. All I want to know is prescription ready as I have someone to come and collect it today. I need my prescription as they are mainly for my heart condition and will be out of tablets by Tuesday

Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. The service used to be excellent, but it has drastically declined. I ordered my long-term prescription two weeks ago and never received any update through the text notification system. Concerned, I went to the pharmacy in person to ask about it. The staff member informed me—without any prior notice—that the medication was out of stock. She returned my prescription and simply told me to try other pharmacies. When I asked what I should do if no other pharmacy had it either, she rudely repeated that they had no stock and made no effort to help or place an order. I explained that this is a long-term medication and stopping it abruptly could seriously risk my health. I was shocked by her indifference—she showed no concern and just insisted they couldn’t help, effectively asking me to leave. This experience was appalling. The staff showed no respect for patient wellbeing or urgency of care. I changed my nominated pharmacy immediately after this deeply disappointing encounter. Patients deserve better.

Have been to Boots in Harrogate many times and enjoyed shopping there. Today I bought goods of over £100 and was asked to pay 10p for a small paper bag. I mentioned this to my husband especially as Seasalt give you a free paper bag for items less than £50. I said ‘merci’ to the woman who handed me the bag at the perfume counter ( by mistake as I have been temporarily living in France for the last few months) - as I left the assistant rudely shouted ‘have a nice day’ in an unnecessarily loud and aggressive manner as if I had committed some social wrong for asking for a bag and being surprised at having to pay for it. This was an unpleasant experience and I will be avoiding this part of the store in future.
