About

PippaFest is a community music festival held in memory of my sister Pippa, who tragically died in March 2024 aged just 25 from brain cancer. Pippa was a talented singer-songwriter who studied music at Leeds Conservatoire and was diagnosed at just 19. As her family, organising this festival is a way of continuing what she loved most-bringing people together through music while raising vital funds and awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity that supported her and us throughout her illness. This year will be our second event and will bring together more than 800 people for a full day of live music and family-friendly activities. The 2026 lineup includes Skinny Living, edbl, and Robert Vincent, alongside a wide range of local artists and performers. Last year’s festival featured Jalen Ngonda (as seen on Graham Norton, Glastonbury etc) as headliner, helping establish the event as a growing date in the local music calendar. Alongside the music, the festival aims to highlight the impact of cancer on teenagers and young adults, and the importance of support services for young people and their families.
