<p><strong>Reports to: </strong>Workshop Controller</p> <p><strong>Responsible to: </strong>Aftersales Manager</p> <p><strong>Department: </strong>Workshop</p> <p><strong>Salary: </strong>&#163;28,000 - &#163;40,000</p> <p><strong>Summary:</strong></p> <p>Carry out repairs and routine maintenance on the motorcycles we purchase and retail, diagnose electrical andmechanical issues, list components required to efficiently repair to a road worthy condition. Carry out PDI assessmentand evaluation in line with business standards, along with completing the inspections in a timely manner. To ensure workshop cleanliness standards are always met, all Health and Safety policies are adhered too and SBF standards aremaintained through the entire motorcycle journey.</p> <p><strong>Main responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Carrying out PDI checks.</li><li>Completing remedial work on purchased bikes and complete comprehensive vehicle preparation in line with superbike factory retail standards.</li><li>Complete repairs within allocated time, working towards business agreed efficiency and productivity metrics.</li><li>Completing intermediate, routine and major servicing on various bikes for both internal and externalcustomers.</li><li>Provide comprehensive vehicle evaluation and be able to present to customers to review, either via written report, video or in person.</li><li>Complete repairs to company standards, maintain high repair accuracy rate</li><li>Working in-line with company standards of repairs.</li><li>Working in-line with company Health &amp; Safety Guidelines.</li><li>Complete road-testing assessment on various motorcycles, licence dependant.</li><li>Undertake various learning activities in line with market changes and new product launches.</li><li>Ensuring workstations are always kept clean and tidy in line with 5s principles and company’s housekeeping policy.</li><li>Any other duties within the post holder’s competence as requested.</li></ul> <p><strong>Person Specification</strong></p> <p><strong>Qualifications/ Education</strong></p> <p><strong>Essential</strong></p> <ul> <li>GCSE English &amp; Maths at Grade C or Grade 4 and above or equivalent</li></ul> <p><strong>Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full motorcycle licence</li><li>Restricted motorcycle license</li><li>Motor vehicle qualifications</li><li>Engineering qualifications</li><li>Dealer specific qualifications</li></ul> <p><strong>Experience</strong></p> <p><strong>Essential</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience of using MS Office; Word, excel, Teams and Outlook</li></ul> <p><strong>Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>Motorcycle background</li><li>Using hand tools</li><li>Use of diagnostic software (TEXA)</li><li>Previous work experience</li></ul> <p><strong>Skills &amp; Knowledge</strong></p> <p><strong>Essential</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must have ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure</li><li>Time Management skills</li><li>Effective problem-solving skills applied when diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults</li></ul> <p><strong>Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>An understanding of the Motorcycle industry.</li><li>Demonstrable mechanical knowledge of modern motorcycles.</li><li>Basic understanding of IT systems and Office 365</li></ul> <p><strong>Personal Attributes</strong></p> <p><strong>Essential</strong></p> <ul> <li>Self-motivated</li><li>High level of attention to detail.</li><li>Team player who demonstrates a high level of commitment and adopts a flexible and positive attitude</li><li>Passion for motorcycles and mechanics</li></ul> <p><strong>Working Pattern</strong></p> <ul> <li>41.25 hours per week on site</li><li>Monday to Friday</li><li>Working one in four Saturdays</li></ul>
