Westergate House bed and breakfast near York is 2 miles south of the park and ride at York Designer outlet, ideally placed on the south side of York  for York University, York Racecourse  Elvington Air Museum and Airfield and a central stop over point when travelling the country, you can also take advantage of our central Yorkshire  location with ample parking to explore the City and beyond through our gateway, where within an hour your journey can take you to Yorkshire's finest countryside or coastline creating an ideal base for an extended break away. 

The colonial and traditional house offers a selection of rooms to suit both the budget of a business traveller and spacious suites for those wishing a few days away with home comforts and little extras including fridges and fresh milk. There is a regular Arriva 415 bus route between York and Selby and we  also have an electric car charging station.   The local  pub is a short walk away and in Escrick half a mile away there are several pubs and restaurants or alternatively try a pre booked midweek meal or  cold snack at Westergate House by our resident cordon bleu cook.

Built in the 1930's by the landowner of 3 nearby farms Westergate House has been a home for disabled children and doctors surgery before becoming a bed and breakfast and many of the original features have been retained during its sympathetic renovation in 2020.

Situated within an acre of mature gardens set back from the A19 at Deighton you can enjoy a comfortable stay with spacious rooms, easy access, safe parking and a freshly cooked breakfast. All our rooms are double bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms except one with a bath and shower with fridges and fresh milk flat screen TV and hospitality trays and homemade cookies and snacks. The spacious dining room where breakfast and weekday suppers are served overlooks the gardens with morning sunshine and there is a large guest lounge with log fire in winter or seating area on the landing looking over to the Yorkshire Wolds

Exclusive use of Westergate is offered  for wedding guests or family occasions taking 5 rooms or more with meals provided on request  

Arriving by cycle or motorbike? - The Sustrans 65 is about half a mile away and the famous Squires cafe is 10 miles. We have safe parking for bikes and motorbikes set back from the road. We can arrange washing and drying facilities.
