We work with community and local groups to make art accessible to everyone. Woodend Art and Craft Gallery is committed to support and showcase local and regional artists and craftspeople.

The space is without doubt one of the most spectacular exhibition spaces in North Yorkshire with a stunning outlook overlooking the valley gardens and sea beyond.

Admission to the Gallery is free to the public and all visitors are welcome!!

Woodend is the erstwhile holiday home of the famous literary family - the Sitwell's. Many of our rooms, including the Gallery still boast an array of charming period features in this delightful heritage building.

In 2008, Woodend was relaunched as an innovative centre designed to support the cultural and creative industries in Scarborough. Including the Art and Craft Gallery, Woodend provides high quality and fully equipped office accommodation, flexible 'virtual office' services, and a superb range of unique and meeting spaces, conference rooms, hot desk suites and high tech video conferencing facilities.

The gallery space is available to rent in-between our exhibitions and we welcome enquiries from those who want to take advantage of these beautiful rooms.
