<p><strong>Environmental Health Officer (Pollution) (Technical)</strong></p> <p><strong>Bradford, BD1 | &#163;65.00 per Hour | Full-Time | Ongoing Temporary Assignment</strong></p> <p>Are you a qualified <strong>Environmental Health Officer</strong> looking for a rewarding opportunity within Local Government? We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced <strong>Environmental Health Officer (Pollution) (Technical)</strong> to join their Environmental Health team in Bradford.</p> <p>This is a <strong>full-time, ongoing temporary position</strong> to provide cover for a long-term sickness absence, with the assignment anticipated to continue into maternity leave. Offering an excellent hourly rate of <strong>&#163;65.00 per hour</strong>, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EHO seeking their next contract.</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>Working within the Council's Environmental Health department, you will play a key role in protecting public health by regulating health and safety across a wide range of workplaces and commercial premises throughout the district.</p> <p>Your responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Carrying out inspections and enforcing health and safety legislation within commercial premises.</li><li>Investigating complaints and responding to service requests.</li><li>Providing professional advice and guidance to businesses on regulatory compliance.</li><li>Preparing reports and maintaining accurate case records.</li><li>Assisting, when required, with responses to unauthorised Gypsy and Traveller encampments across the district.</li><li>Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to deliver high-quality environmental health services.</li></ul> <p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p> <p>To be considered for this role, you must have:</p> <ul> <li>A qualification as an <strong>Environmental Health Officer (EHO)</strong> or <strong> Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP)</strong>.</li><li><strong>EHORB Registration</strong> or an equivalent professional registration recognised by the <strong>Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH)</strong>.</li><li>Previous experience within Environmental Health, particularly in health and safety regulation.</li><li>Excellent communication, investigation and report-writing skills.</li><li>A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (mileage expenses will be paid).</li></ul> <p><strong>Working Hours</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Monday to Friday</strong></li><li><strong>9:00am – 5:00pm</strong></li><li><strong>37 hours per week</strong></li></ul> <p><strong>What's On Offer?</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>&#163;65.00 per hour</strong></li><li>Full-time, Monday to Friday working pattern.</li><li>Mileage expenses paid.</li><li>Office-based in <strong>Bradford (BD1)</strong>, with attendance required <strong> 3–5 days per week</strong>.</li><li>Long-term ongoing temporary assignment with the potential for an extended duration.</li><li>Opportunity to make a real difference within a respected Local Authority.</li></ul> <p>If you're an experienced Environmental Health professional looking for your next contract and are available to start at short notice, we'd love to hear from you.</p> <p>Benefits:</p>
