Head of Engineering
<p>Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an engineering company near Bradford to recruit a Head of Engineering.</p> <p>This Head of Engineering role offers full ownership of the engineering function, with a focus on leadership, continuous improvement, project delivery, and systems development. Working closely with the senior leadership team, the Head of Engineering will play a key role in driving operational performance, standardising engineering processes, and supporting future growth.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide strong leadership to a multi-disciplinary team</li><li>Standardise and optimise design processes, ensuring alignment with BOM structures and the ERP system</li><li>Rationalise current engineering practices to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality</li><li>Lead cross-disciplinary design review meetings and drive lessons learned implementation</li><li>Take hands-on ownership of design process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Ensure adherence to health & safety, quality, and ISO standards</li><li>Review and implement new technologies and design tools to maintain competitive advantage</li><li>Deliver projects against deadlines within a fast-paced, bespoke engineering environment</li></ul> <p>We are keen to speak with Engineering Managers / Head of Engineering with the following:</p> <ul> <li>Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)</li><li>Strong technical understanding of mechanical engineering principles</li><li>Experience working with heavy, bespoke machinery or complex engineered products</li><li>Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams</li><li>Demonstrated experience delivering results against deadlines</li><li>Hands-on leadership experience with the ability to grow and shape a team</li><li>Experience managing, mentoring, and coaching engineers</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills</li></ul> <p>Apply now or for more information on this Head of Engineering role, please contact Ian Bruce</p>
