Multi-platinum selling indie band Bastille wrapped up an incredible summer of live music at the historic Piece Hall in Halifax on August 30, 2026. This final performance was part of the popular series, TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall, which has seen over 200,000 music fans flock to the venue throughout the summer.

Bastille's Hit-Packed Show

On the last night of this 42-gig series, Bastille, fronted by vocalist Dan Smith, took to the stage with their signature energy. The band, which also includes Kyle Simmons on keys and bass, Will Farquarson on guitar, and drummer Chris ‘Woody’ Wood, treated the audience to a selection of their greatest hits spanning their 16-year career.

The concert opened with the powerful track Things We Lost In The Fire, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. Fans enjoyed a mix of songs, including Good Grief, Flaws, and Oblivion. The band even paid tribute to country legend Dolly Parton with a heartfelt rendition of Jolene, followed by a spine-tingling performance of I Will Always Love You.

A Night to Remember

The excitement continued with the energetic track Doom Days, and the crowd erupted during their popular mash-up cover Of The Night. Dan Smith even ventured into the audience of 6,000 to sing Happier, creating a truly interactive experience for fans. As the night drew to a close, the band performed Save My Soul and their iconic hit Pompeii, leaving the audience buzzing with excitement.

Joining Bastille as a special guest that night was the talented singer-songwriter Nectar Woode, whose soulful performance added to the evening's vibrant atmosphere.

The TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall 2026 series has been a resounding success, showcasing an impressive lineup of artists.
