Fans of 80s music were in for a treat as British pop icon Holly Johnson took to the stage at the historic Piece Hall in Halifax on August 15, 2026. The event, part of the TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall 2026 summer season, attracted a full house of 6,000 enthusiastic attendees who were eager to relive the golden era of pop music.

Holly Johnson, known as the frontman of the legendary band Franke Goes To Hollywood, delivered an unforgettable performance that spanned his impressive career. The night kicked off with some of Franke Goes To Hollywood's biggest hits, including the powerful tracks Warriors of the Wasteland and Welcome to The Pleasuredome. Johnson kept the energy high as he moved through a setlist that included fan favourites like Americanos, Atomic City, Love Train, and Born To Run.

Support Acts That Set the Stage
The evening was further enhanced by performances from two other Yorkshire legends, Heaven 17 and ABC, who opened the night with their own collection of hits. Heaven 17, hailing from Sheffield, and ABC, known for their catchy melodies and stylish performances, got the crowd warmed up with memorable tracks such as Temptation, When Smokey Sings, and The Look of Love.
