<strong>Assistant Management Accountant</strong> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Harrogate<br /><strong>Salary:</strong> Competitive &#43; Study Support<br /><strong>Hours:</strong> Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week</p> <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a market-leading business in Harrogate.&nbsp;</p> <p>Working as part of a growing finance team, you will support the Management Accountant and Finance Director in the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who is actively studying towards a professional qualification and looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and expanding organisation.</p> <strong>The Role</strong> <p>As Assistant Management Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the monthly accounting cycle and ensuring accurate financial reporting across a portfolio of managed properties and clients.</p> <p>Key responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Producing monthly financial packs for clients and property managers.</li><li>Preparing and posting monthly accruals and prepayments.</li><li>Completing balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.</li><li>Maintaining control schedules and ensuring adherence to finance deadlines.</li><li>Managing and reviewing sales and purchase invoicing processes.</li><li>Assisting with accounts payable activities and internal audit requirements.</li><li>Supporting the preparation and delivery of annual budgets.</li><li>Acting as an internal point of contact for accounting queries.</li><li>Assisting with statutory audits for both the company and its clients.</li><li>Building strong working relationships with operational and support departments across the business</li></ul> <ul> <li>A minimum of 1-2 years' experience within an accounts or finance position.</li><li>Active studies towards ACCA, CIMA, AAT Level 4, or an equivalent qualification.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.</li><li>Good organisational and time management skills.</li><li>Advanced spreadsheet skills and confidence working with financial data.</li></ul> <strong>What's On Offer?</strong> <ul> <li>Competitive salary package.</li><li>Study support following successful completion of probation.</li><li>Excellent career development opportunities within a growing organisation.</li><li>Exposure to management accounting and commercial finance activities.</li><li>Supportive and collaborative working environment.</li><li>Opportunity to work within a market-leading and expanding sector.</li></ul> <p>This role would suit an ambitious Assistant Accountant or Accounts Assistant looking to take the next step in their career and gain valuable management accounting experience within a dynamic and growing business.</p>
