Procurement Manager

<p>We are recruiting for an experienced <strong>Procurement Manager</strong> to join a growing engineering business in Wetherby.</p> <p>This is a hands-on role with plenty of opportunity to <strong>make improvements, reduce costs and take ownership</strong> of the procurement and supply chain function. The business has recently been acquired by a larger group and is continuing to grow, making this an exciting time to join.</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage and lead the procurement team</li><li>Take overall ownership of procurement and supply chain</li><li>Manage and negotiate with suppliers</li><li>Identify cost-saving opportunities</li><li>Improve purchasing and stock management processes</li><li>Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality and service</li><li>Work closely with internal teams to improve purchasing efficiency</li></ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>You'll need a strong <strong>technical procurement background</strong>, ideally within <strong>engineering, manufacturing or a similar technical environment</strong>.</p> <p>We're looking for someone who is:</p> <ul> <li>Experienced at Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer or similar level</li><li>Confident managing suppliers and negotiating</li><li>Experienced in leading a procurement team</li><li>Commercially minded with a focus on cost saving</li><li>Proactive and confident introducing change</li><li>Comfortable taking ownership and getting stuck in</li><li>A strong communicator and relationship builder</li><li>A full UK driving licence and own transport</li></ul> <p><br /></p>
