Called in a few times - we travel to Berry Brow on the train from Penistone and it is a downhill walk from the station. My wife and I visited on Friday afternoon before visiting the excellent Zamorins restaurant nearby. Having visited many pubs during the last 50+ years I experienced something completely new. Having been served our second pints of Moonshine the lad working behind the bar followed me into the beer garden and asked if the beer was okay as they’d realised it was near the end of the barrel. It certainly didn’t taste as good as the first ones so he immediately took them away and within a short space of time came back with replacements. Brilliant service!

This is a great local pub & always very friendly too. A good range of beers, plus they have some quality lagers, Morretti & Madri, I think ? can't remember ...I obviously must have had too many !! Milys Chicken Chicken shop next door if you fancy a takeway on your way home ....& recently the pub has indroduced a great menu full of pub food & indian menu too (Thurs to Sunday if I remember). Plus now also doing a great Sunday lunch. Dog's allowed too, so a great place to walk to if you're local enough (we're Honley) for a beer & a bite to eat. I was going to say it's a 'hidden gem' but it's hardly hidden, on the main road to Holmfirth ! But a gem none the less. Many people will drive past every day, like we used to & not realise how good it is. We do now !!

Had the pleasure of visiting this public house to attend a 60th Birthday party for my cousin. Very clean and inviting upon first glance. Made very welcome as expected from good Yorkshire folk. Prices were reasonable and good selection of ales. Can't comment of any food on the menu due to party food was catered for by family. Would highly recommend a visit if you're In the area and need refreshments. Parking was a little restricted and not a huge amount of spaces but managed to get a space upon arrival.

Visited to watch "Jagged Edge" rock band. Good bar service and good lip readers given that the band thought they were playing Wembley stadium. I jest there, but turn it up. ... The pub is sound and Jagged Edge epic.....
