Despite its modern appearance, the Red Lion Hotel exudes a charming ambiance, particularly outside where patrons can enjoy the lovely building. With the added bonus of a pool table, it offers entertainment for those seeking a bit of friendly competition. The staff at the Red Lion are not only attentive but also sociable, always ready to engage in a good laugh or conversation, making visitors feel right at home. While the interior may be more contemporary, the inviting atmosphere and enjoyable experience make it a place worth returning to. All in all, the Red Lion Hotel promises a delightful time, making it a destination worth revisiting for another enjoyable outing.

The red lion is a former moors and Robson built in 1939, then a bass pub. A nice traditional street corner pub it sells a range of good priced beers and lagers, but no cask conditioned real ale, probably because it is not open every day. Friendly welcolming staff worth a visit. Check opening times.

Just want to thank sue and maggie for helping me do my dads wake. The food and atmosphere was great(given it was a wake) we sang on the karaoke and danced away. I really want to thank you both, it was stress free and we all really enjoyed the day. Will 100% be booking again xx
