This achievement was marked on July 30, 2026, when representatives from the charity were welcomed to Ideal's headquarters to acknowledge the hard work and dedication that has gone into fundraising since 2018.

The £325,000 is enough to run the charity’s Online Community platform for over a year. This platform is a free online space where more than 600,000 individuals affected by cancer can connect, share their experiences, and seek advice from healthcare professionals.
Additionally, the money could fund the Cancer Information Nurse Specialists on Macmillan’s dedicated Support Line for over 25 days, assisting nearly 2,500 people with essential information on managing side effects, treatment options, and coping strategies.

Ideal Heating's employees have shown their commitment to the cause through various initiatives. One notable effort is the “dress down Friday” scheme, where staff contribute £1 to wear casual clothes on Fridays. This initiative has generated approximately £900 each month, which is shared between Macmillan and other charities important to employees. Furthermore, colleagues have also participated in a staff boiler purchase scheme, where they can buy company products at discounted prices, with the proceeds going to Macmillan.
