Excitement is brewing in Hunmanby as Yorkshire’s first whisky distillery, the Spirit of Yorkshire, prepares to welcome local musician Freddie Schmuck for a special performance. This event will take place on 31st October at the distillery's Pot Still Coffee Shop, marking Schmuck’s first solo appearance since his time with the popular indie-rock band, The Feens.

Freddie Schmuck's Return

Freddie Schmuck, who is well-known for his role as the frontman of The Feens, has made a name for himself in the music scene. The Feens enjoyed a successful career, amassing over a million streams and even reaching the top of the iTunes charts with a Number 1 single. They have also been featured on popular radio stations such as BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music, and Radio X. Over nearly a decade, the band performed at numerous iconic venues, including the Isle of Wight Festival and Scarborough Open Air Theatre, sharing stages with renowned bands like The Kooks and James.

Steve Marson, the marketing manager at Spirit of Yorkshire, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event:

“If you love your guitar-based indie, Freddie’s Distillery Session will be right up your street: a stripped-back acoustic gig here in our super-intimate Coffee Shop.”

This intimate setting promises a unique experience for fans, allowing them to enjoy live music while overlooking the distillery’s stills.
