|A significant development has just taken place in Leeds, as WorkWell, a Yorkshire-based provider of serviced office spaces, officially opened the doors to its newly expanded Carrwood Park location. The redevelopment of this former NHS building marks a key moment for the area, providing modern, flexible workspaces that cater to the growing demand for high-quality office environments.
Transforming Carrwood Park
The newly transformed building spans an impressive 8,675 square feet and has been designed to offer a premium flexible office environment. This redevelopment includes a variety of workspaces, such as private office suites, meeting rooms, and collaborative areas, all aimed at fostering productivity and creativity among businesses in the region. Designed by the Manchester-based architectural firm NC Studio, the new facility features a welcoming atrium at its centre. This space not only provides a dynamic shared environment but also enhances collaboration among teams. With thoughtful design elements, such as comfortable seating, effective lighting, and integrated technology, the building is set to be a hub for businesses looking to thrive in Leeds.
Fully Let and Ready for Business
WorkWell has successfully filled the new office space, with several organisations already making it their home. One noteworthy tenant is Horizon Care & Education, which has expanded significantly since joining WorkWell. Initially starting with a modest five-person office in another building on the park, Horizon Care has now moved into the new facility, enjoying a workspace that is 800% larger than before. This expansion reflects a larger trend in the region, where businesses are seeking more adaptable and spacious environments to accommodate their growth.
Oliver Corrigan, Managing Director of WorkWell, commented on the increasing demand for such high-quality workspaces:
“We’re seeing increasing demand for high-quality workspaces in Yorkshire that offer flexibility, connectivity and a professional environment for businesses.”
Supporting Local Growth
The opening of the Carrwood Park expansion is part of WorkWell’s broader strategy to enhance its presence across Yorkshire. This includes the recent launch of its Copthall Bridge location in Harrogate, further establishing WorkWell as a leader in providing flexible workspace solutions. The move to create more flexible office environments is not just about providing space; it’s about fostering a culture of collaboration and well-being.
Laura Bingham, Director of People & Culture at Horizon Care & Education, expressed the importance of investing in a workspace that supports their team:
“Our new WorkWell offices are a really important part of that investment.”
“They have been designed to bring people together, support collaboration and create an environment where colleagues can connect, share ideas as well as supporting well-being and belonging.”
