|The 2026 Settle Victoria Hall Beer Festival has made a significant impact by raising over £14,000, a wonderful achievement for both the local community and charities involved. This year’s festival took place from August 6th to 8th and attracted locals and visitors alike to the historic venue, which is the world’s oldest surviving music hall.
Festival Highlights
The Settle Victoria Hall Beer Festival is a beloved annual event that brings together beer enthusiasts and families for a fun-filled weekend. Attendees were treated to a carefully selected range of ales and ciders, alongside live music that added to the vibrant atmosphere. The festival was free to enter, making it accessible for everyone, and it showcases the strong community spirit in Settle.

Supporting Local Charities
This year, a substantial portion of the funds raised—over £7,000—will be donated to The Principle Trust Children's Charity. This money will help provide respite breaks for children facing various challenges, allowing them to spend quality time with their families. The charity aims to give children a chance to escape their daily struggles and enjoy memorable experiences.
Impact of the Funds
Kerry Magson, Partnerships and Engagement Manager at The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, expressed gratitude for the support received:
“The Settle Victoria Hall Beer Festival is a brilliant example of the community spirit we have here in Settle, while also bringing people from further afield together to enjoy a great day out while supporting two local brilliant causes.”
The funds raised will enable the charity to continue its essential work, which has already provided respite breaks for more than 6,300 children since its founding in 2011 by Mike Davies MBE. The charity operates respite homes in locations such as Blackpool, Filey, and the Lake District, where children can enjoy life-changing holidays away from their everyday challenges.
Community Involvement
The festival is organised by Tanya and Mark Wildsmith, who have worked tirelessly to ensure its success over the years. This year, the event was proudly sponsored by Rathbones as the headline sponsor, with Walker Foster Solicitors supporting as the programme and barrel sponsor. Their contributions, along with the generous attendance, highlight the collaborative effort within the community to support these important causes.
