Fish pie was amazing and the carrot was exceptionally good!! Place was lovely and clean, especially the toilets! Staff were friendly and the young lad serving the food was great, considering how busy it was, he was attentive with all the customers. Lovely pub, need more like that in the area, shame it wasn’t open Monday or Tuesday but get it that the staff need a break! Well done, keep up the good work!

Visited four times during our one week holiday as we enjoyed it so much the first time. Sunday lunch was excellent. The black pudding starter and prawn cocktail were very nice. Risotto tonight with Sea Bass was stunning. The raspberry, coconut and almond tart - home made with gorgeous pastry. Really good choice of local beers. Friendly, attentive staff with very efficient service. Would highly recommend.

Dined in this gem of a pub this evening. We were welcomed with a smile, immediately seated and asked what we would like to drink. Great wine choice at very competitive prices. The food menu had a varied selection, we opted for the venison balti with rice, poppadom and homemade onion bhaji. It was delicious. Followed by cherry & chocolate brownie with cherry swirl ice-cream and a raspberry, coconut and almond tart with raspberry ripple ice-cream. We scraped our plates clean. The service was excellent and there was a great atmosphere too. Infact it was so good we're going back tomorrow night.

Best pub food I’ve had in a long time! Good quality, freshly prepared and very tasty. The crumble desert was a winner. They also have a good selection of local guest ales which are worth trying.

We visited at the beginning of June and we weren't disappointed. There was a nice atmosphere, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, the service and food were excellent. Even when it was busy we were served quickly and the food was always piping hot and nicely presented. It was so good we ate there 3 times during our weeks stay and will go again when we next visit the area.
