<p><br /></p> Data Scientist | <strong>Financial Services</strong> <p>York (2 days per week onsite)</p> <p>Salary Up to &#163;70,000 &#43; 15% Bonus &#43; Benefits</p> <p><strong>Build ML solutions that actually make it into production.</strong></p> <p>We're supporting a major financial services organisation as they build a brand-new enterprise <strong>Data Platform and MLOps capability</strong>. This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage and play a key role in shaping how Data Science is delivered across the business.</p> <p>This isn't a research-only environment. You'll work on real business problems, build machine learning models that drive decision-making, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to see your work deployed and used at scale.</p> <strong>What you'll be doing:</strong> <ul> <li>Partnering with stakeholders to turn business challenges into Data Science solutions</li><li>Exploring, preparing and analysing large, complex datasets</li><li>Building, testing and evaluating machine learning models</li><li>Applying techniques such as regression, classification, clustering and forecasting</li><li>Writing clean, maintainable Python code</li><li>Working alongside ML Engineers to deploy models into production</li><li>Monitoring model performance and identifying opportunities for improvement</li><li>Presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences</li><li>Helping establish best practices across Data Science, experimentation and model governance</li></ul> <strong>We're looking for:</strong> <ul> <li>Commercial experience as a Data Scientist</li><li>Strong Python and SQL skills</li><li>Hands-on experience building Machine Learning models</li><li>Expertise in feature engineering, model evaluation and model selection</li><li>Experience working with large datasets</li><li>Exposure to Azure, AWS or GCP</li><li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills</li><li>Experience taking models beyond experimentation into production is highly desirable</li></ul> <p>(No Visa Sponsorship Available)</p> <p><br /></p> <p>RSG Plc is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.</p>
