Wigwam Holidays Sedgewell Barn

We booked the cabin to celebrate my sister’s engagement, and it truly made our trip unforgettable. She was visiting from New Zealand, so having such a beautiful, cosy place to spend quality time together meant a lot. The cabin was warm and welcoming even at -2°C, and the hot tub under the stars was a highlight. Booking was simple, communication was excellent, and everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared. The optional extras added a lovely touch, and the peaceful surroundings made the stay even more special. We had an amazing time and are already planning our next visit!

We had a wonderful stay at Wigwam Holidays Sedgewell Barn and would definitely come again. The setting is beautifully scenic and peaceful — perfect for a relaxing break. Our cabin was so lovely and cosy, with everything we needed, and the outdoor space felt calm and private. The electric hot tub was a real highlight — spotlessly clean and ready to go without the faff of wood-burning. We spent every evening in it, unwinding under the stars, and honestly could have stayed longer. We left feeling completely relaxed. It’s also a dog-friendly site, and our little Murphy had a fantastic time exploring the area and making himself at home. One small tip for future visitors: because of the nearby livestock, there were quite a few flies around (as you’d expect in the countryside). We found it really helpful to bring some fly tape and hang it in the lodge — it kept the nights undisturbed and is worth packing just in case. Overall, a peaceful and memorable getaway. Highly recommend!

Just back from a lovely, quiet relaxing 2 night stay. Was disappointed to find our cabin faced the opposite way to the others, so the view we paid for was not as expected. Our view was the honesty box and the bins! Saying that, we still really enjoyed our stay and would return if we could get to know what cabin we would be allocated at the point of booking.

Had the most amazing relaxing, peaceful stay at the weekend. The staff were quickly attentive with all questions we had regarding fire packs and the honesty shop. Everything was clean and tidy ready for our arrival, honesty shop was reasonably priced and the fire kit you receive complimentary was enough for us to burn 2 fires. The beds were extremely comfortable and the heating system within the cabin was great. Excellently located next to the local town and a 5 minute drive from Northallerton. Overall had an amazing stay and would definitely return in the future.

Fantastic location, super quiet and relaxing. Cabin was warm clean and tidy upon arrival. Hot tub was pre heated and ready to use. Fire kit supplied was enough to burn for the whole evening. Couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing night away. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice night in a cabin.
