We stayed in the Stable Cottage. The views were lovely looking over the Esk Valley. Ideally located to explore the Yorkshire Moors and Coast

Excellent venue for an extended family weekend break. Use of all 5 cottages plus the communal area made it a great place to stay and the views of the surrounding area are stunning. Easy access to Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Peaceful and relaxing. Far bigger than we expected but so cosy and welcomed. We arrived during a terrible storm. We were so reassured by the solid structure of the building. We felt safe even in a howling wind and rain. We were so pleased when we got a beautiful sunny day so we could see the expansive views at their best. Would highly recommend and will be staying again as soon as I can.

Would love to post more stars but owner cancelled our family holiday at 1 months notice even though we booked a year in advance. Cited double booking with a wedding. So either incompetent with booking system or greedy, cancelling us in preference for a wedding. Whichever it is, it scuppered our family holiday that we'd been looking forward to for ages. Now it's too late to rebook anywhere ideal. Would recommend avoiding this place if you want confidence in your booking.

Amazing place. The views are incredible, the cottages very nicely setup. It is the perfect place to stay to visit Whitby, but not be in the heart of the town. The owners were so helpful and accommodating. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
