Wow! What can I say! This spot is just what you want when you’re looking for hearty, quality food in a warm and quaint atmosphere with friendly staff. When I asked about gluten free options the staff didn’t have any problems and told me all that I was ok with - I was so glad to get a Yorkshire pudding still with my Sunday lunch as I usually end up missing out! The meal was so nice I followed up with Eton mess for desert as I knew it would be great too, and it was! Left full and happy - will definitely be returning.

Excellent service quality and great value πŸ‘ delicious πŸ˜‹ food , booking advised on popular nights/days/times but outside seats available weather permitting. Dog friendly area to eat/drink inside . There is a restaurant area that's dog free, also a specials board each day/night . It has a camping/caravaning field attached to the pub out the back with facilities and a good car park for patrons visitors etc..

Lovely lunch - the food was delicious with generous portions. All homemade and very tasty. Staff were friendly and the environment was warm and cosy. Will definitely go again and would recommend - however go early or book ahead as it is quite popular!

A tad confusing on arrival. A large inn with both indoor and outdoor seating. Vast majority of people were dining. We'd booked a table 2 weeks ago. Fully expected upon arrival to see some obvious station whereupon you could announce your arrival and be checked in, seated and orders taken. There was non. Approaching the bar no one seemed to notice or engage with us. We were eventually dealt with but we felt a little overlooked. The place was a hive of activity and unusually (in a good way) there was ample waiting staff to deal with all the customers. We only had a bottle of wine, which was reasonably priced and the beef Sunday dinner. Generous slices of beef and ample gravy. The roast potatoes were a bit salty and I thought slightly undercooked. The vegetables were well presented and cooked just right although a few more wouldn't have gone a miss. Lovely yorkshire pudding. The dessert menu was uninspiring. The stand out dish in our opinion was good old sticky toffee pudding which got taken off. The inn itself had an interesting interior and decor and was very relaxing.
