The Bickley Gate car park is the starting point for three great walking trails: to Waitcliff (a level forest track), 1.25 miles taking about an hour; to Deepdale, 2 mls, 1.5 hr; & to Jerry Noddle viewpoint, 2.8mls, 1.5hr. The car park is free if you approach it from Langdale End because you don't have to go through the Forest Drive pay barriers (otherwise the Drive fee is payable when coming through the forest from Dalby Visitor Centre. There are no facilities at the car park (no toilets, refreshments etc.) hence the 4* rating I'm giving. Nonetheless, the walks are spectacular.

Nice place. Shame every woodland is either privately owned or owned commercially, so camping is a nono. Ruined by the local inexperienced barbecue fire starters..

Free parking, good access to forest, quite when we visited. Area surrounding is dog friendly, though I'd be careful about going off lead till away from the road, as it seems an area where people may up their speeds on the road.

Quiet, clean site with internet reception, which is very rare in this area. Several picnic tables and four hiking trails. Beautiful surroundings.
