Beautiful typically English cricket pitch and pavillion, has a bar too!! Alne Street Fayre is 2nd week of June Sunday, don't miss it, fun for all the family, over 2000 visitors this year, car park is next to cricket pitch, first 2 photos...voted top 10 village fayre attraction in Yorkshire by Sunday Times 2015
Superb pitch. Free parking after tricky, tight access. Excellent scoreboard. Clubhouse serving snacks, alcohol. Teas prepared by local volunteers, I believe. Very varied choice and very, very reasonably priced. Friendly, welcoming people. Teams somewhat mis-matched. Fascinating bird nest.
A fantastic village cricket club. Staying at The Alders Caravan Site, we have visited the cricket club a couple of times to watch the match. Clubhouse is open so we always have to support it with a round or two of drinks. Staff always welcoming and friendly. Great place to spend an afternoon.
We visit the clubhouse regularly when taking a weekend break at the attached Alders Caravan Park. We would thoroughly recommend an afternoon spent here. Very friendly and welcoming.
A fantastic cricket venue hidden away in the back of the village. Great social scene with the bar open during and after games and a quiz night once a month.
