Holmfield Arms

Had a delicious meal today with my family and friends. Staff were really friendly and very accommodating when we made a mistake with our order. The menu was varied and had good vegetarian and children's options. Spacious inside so great for small and larger groups. The roast was epic and puddings were also delicious! Also great access to a small playground for the children was a bonus! Parking outside and close to a lake with ducks and skatepark/playground for a full day out.

Very disappointed that we haven't been here before now, tonight was our first visit after living in wakefield for over 10 years.. the food was absolutely beautiful we normally use Miller and carter for steak but Holmfirth arms steak was 10/10 absolutely beautiful and perfectly cooked for how we like it my partner enjoyed the garlic mushroom starter too and so well presented. The chocolate Brownie was delicious. We will definitely be a regular from now on and can't wait to try the rest of the menu! And dog friendly! We loved that you guys had tennis balls and water bowls for the doggos.

Came for a birthday meal with family and the food was amazing. We all had different dishes and each were great. Cocktails were great for the price. Ellis the server was brilliant throughout. Couldn't have asked for more. Will defo be coming back!

Stayed at the hotel on Saturday 1st and was genuinely impressed from start to finish. The room was spotless, with fresh towels and crisp bedding. It was a spacious family room, perfect for us, and even the corridors were immaculate and well-kept. We had dinner that evening as a group of 24, and the whole experience was faultless. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The restaurant had a lovely, welcoming atmosphere and was spotless throughout. Despite the size of our group, the meals arrived quickly and all together, which really showed how well organised and professional the team were. An outstanding venue with fantastic staff who couldn’t do enough for us. I honestly couldn’t fault a thing and would highly recommend it to anyone. We’ll definitely be returning.

Visited last Sunday in a group of friends including families. We had a lovely time, the food was excellent and the service from Ellis and the team was excellent. There was an issue (on our side) where one small person didn't want the burger they'd ordered, due to us misreading the menu. The team gave us a replacement and knocked the cost off our bill. I had the signature burger, which filled me up for most of the day. We returned later on to use the toilets before going our separate ways, and were welcomed back by Ellis. Lovely pub, excellent food, terrific staff. Cheers
