Can't speak highly enough of the Horizon Centre. They put my loved one on the right path after a couple of very difficult years and challenging times. Professional and caring. Listened then acted. Very important to them, and me, that the stay in hospital was no longer than necessary. Wonderful.

As soon as i walk into Newton Lodge I don't even need to say "hello how are you today?" as they say it as soon as i walk towards reception. The staff always ask if I need a locker key and then tell me they'll tell the staff I'm here for visit. Staff are very welcoming and friendly when they take me through to see my partner. I've been going to Newton Lodge now since August 2017 and I haven't had a bad experience yet with any of the staff or other patients. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is thinking about admitting a relative etc, they look after all the patients the best they can & also help with any problems they may have. Keep up the fantastic work Newton Lodge!!πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

I was locked up twice on the psychiatric intensive care ward. The place treated me so badly I came out worse than I went in and diagnosed with CPTSD. I was assaulted on occasions and also subjected to unlawful restraintments one in particular left me with permanent nerve damage to my shoulder and the staff treated me like scum and even called me scum. One time a punishment was to lock my bathroom up for 24 hours and they made me beg on my knees to have my bathroom unlocked. Those responsible for my abuse were David Maughan and Darren Maclean. These two nurses are dangerous abusers and they ruined my life. If your loved one is in the care of these two please get them the hell out of there!

I went into fieldhead 3 years ago for psychotic episode from bleed on brain , same evening I escaped through a door. Climbed to the roof , jumped other side of building , braking my ankle in process . Ended crawling into the road by a roundabout , a kind lady drove me to pinderfields where i stayed for a considerable amount of time . Ended on a drip etc from 19st to seven stone i was drained not eating or drinking . So i feel this was unacceptable care on both hospitals . Totally bad experience of trauma . My mental health is still unbearable 😫 due to this experience also my history. Future is now brighter , memories not fading just keeping positive many medications im on as suffer various mental health issues B.P.D psychosis list is endless . Still smiling though f##k em also tik tok helps me raise awareness #mentalhealthmatters @tristangreyty4follow
