I'll start with the only negative - why do all charity shops, including this one, place their radio that's blasting out right next to the books so you can't concentrate reading the synopses? It drives me mad 🤪 Anyways... I love this shop. It's the bric-a-brac and furniture that I'm mainly interested in and have found some real bargains over the years including Le Creuset, John Lewis and Cath Kidston crockery and kitchenware. Also buy most of my jigsaw puzzles from here and quite a few books. I don't look through the clothes as much but have dropped on bits such as some brand new Rieker sandals for around £12 - which may seem pricey for a charity shop, but they were exactly what I was looking for, I wore them every day for work over the summer and will do next summer (so the price per wear is fractions of pennies), and I checked the Rieker website while I was in the shop and they were still for sale on the website retailing for around £55 - so they're one of my best bargains! The staff are incredible and dedicated to the cause and there is one particular young lady who runs the cash register who is so friendly, chatty and helpful. She's also great at sales as she often remembers donations that are still "in the back" that I might like and has them brought out for my perusal - as if I need any more encouragement to spend!

Donated a Christmas tree on the 5th December we took it into the shop and told the lady behind the counter we had spoken to Philip earlier ( who was very courteous on the phone) she didnt even have the decency to look at my husband when he spoke to her. We travelled from the far side of Wakefield to deliver the item, won't bother again, so sad a smile and a thank you would have been much appreciated

Lovely shop however recently the prices have been extortionate…I don’t know who’s pricing these items? For a charity that is getting items from the public for free to charge prices that are not even reasonable, I find it greedy and disgusting. It’s not just over-priced it’s unreasonable. I do think it’s fair to donate our items and seen them sold for an unreasonable price. Picked up a girls skirt from Monsoon that is not even in a good state, the material has threads clearly wearing out, faded colour and it’s priced at £7? Just greediness, which is not fair because we are donating our stuff to a charity but to also help the community not charge prices like this.
