Tesco Express

After all these years, Wrenthorpe gets a mini supermarket. This newly refurbished building is all sparkling clean inside and has nice spacing between the isles. Wheelchair access wouldn't be a problem at all. There are also spaces for about 20 cars with a few disabled spots near the doors. A sloped path also gives easy access for pedestrians with push/wheel chairs from the main road. Choice is what you'd expect for a Tesco Express, not huge but adequate. If you want a bigger choice you need to go to a normal sized supermarket. I reckon most people should find what they want in-store providing they don't have too high expectations. Prices are a little high, but not extortionate. You do get the discounts with the Tesco Clubcard on some products though which makes them more reasonable. There are 4 self serve tills and one person behind a counter for cigarettes and lottery cards etc. I also saw a cash machine inside if you need any withdrawals. Definitely a shop worth supporting. I really hope the community helps keep it going so it doesn't turn back into an empty building again.

Went to Tesco Express today for the first time. Really impressed. Staff are amazing. Shout out to the lovely lady who showed me where things were and served me at the till. I’ll be going again. Could be my new favourite shop

Standard Tesco express, you have to shout for someone if you're not using self service. The car park is the worst designed car park i have ever been in, ludicrous

2nd visit this morning, to find the store closed at 06:50. Sign outside says store opens at 6. Also a lorry present blocking most of the car park. Otherwise is a great little Tesco

Brilliant store in the heart of wrenthorpe not having to travel further out, very convenient with great staff who are happy to assist you when you need them. I also need to stress the shop is definitely a 7-10 not the 6-11 the company advertised and it will be corrected ASAP
