Our beautiful little family run zoo is loved by adults and children alike, as we take you on an educational adventure, inspiring a passion for the natural world.
Enter the fascinating Jungle Trail and make your way around to see and learn about a variety of incredible animals from around the world.
Don’t forget to take your time, as many of our residents live free roaming in our Tropical House, so you will need to look carefully to see them!
Our roaming residents include free flying butterflies* and birds, thousands of amazing stick insects and a variety of reptile species.
Throughout the day, we provide a number of awesome Animal Encounters where you can get up close, learn about our animals from our Expert Explorer’s, see them in action or even handle them yourself! Check the Encounters Timetable on arrival and make sure you attend as many as possible to make the most of your time with us! (Up to date current Encounters Timetables are published on our Facebook page regularly, so check there before you travel for more info).
Your ticket for Bugtopia Hornsea lasts all day, so while you are here why not wander around the selection of charming shops at Hornsea Freeport Outlet Shopping Village, let the children burn off some steam at the fantastic Beach Cove play area** or relax and have a coffee at Fresco Gormet in between our Encounters!
The more times you come and go throughout the day, the more you will see in our very own beautiful rainforest in East Yorkshire!
*Whilst we maintain a constant number of butterflies year round, the low levels of UV light between October and March does render them very inactive in the winter months.
**Beach Cove is a separate business to Bugtopia, separate admission charges do apply.
