Visited here for breakfast and lunch a couple of times. Food is exceptional and excellent value for money. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit.
Just had a pre-booked afternoon tea for a 40th birthday. Every bite was absolutely delicious. Brought what we didnt eat home with us! Service so friendly too. Highly recommend. Please stay local..everyone needs our support.
I went for lunch today and got the soup of the day (spiced vegetables) and it was delicious! We also got some skin on fries and I could’ve kept eating them forever!! Paired with a nice cup of yorkshire tea! Very delicious lunch!! The staff were extremely lovely and made it a wonderful experience!
The loveliest staff ever!!! Nothing was ever too much, made serval large food and drink orders for work crews which were handled with total easy and were absolutely delicious. All team were delighted with their orders and even commenting it was “the best flat white they’ve ever had”. Couldn’t recommend the gorgeous people at Gather enough!!
I was unfortunately disappointed with my experience today. Firstly I rang ahead to book and was advised I could only order from the breakfast menu. That would have been fine however when another couple came into the cafe they were offered items from the lunch menu. Secondly we ordered avocado smash and when it arrived there was only one piece of toast. At £10.50 I felt this was steep. What really disappointed me was the next table ordered exactly the same and they received double the amount of food. How can that be treating customers fairly. If it was 2 slices of toast and the 2 eggs the other customer got the price would have been justified. It’s a shame as it’s a nice cafe with lovely people but I won’t return due to not treating customers the same in relation to portion size.
