We visited the village on advice from a friend and planned to get coffee at the pub. Unfortunately, it was closed but we noticed that there was a coffee afternoon on at the village hall. We popped in and were immediately made to feel at home by chatty locals who plied us with drinks and cake! A serendipitous day 😁. (We also made use of the super-clean toilets.) Many thanks to all who welcomed us ....
Lovely village and nice walk to Castle Knott and Calf Top
A very well kept village facility. Car park is open and available for public use free but there is a box for donations to maintain hall and surrounding facilities. A couple of pounds if you're parking there for a few hours is only fair given how so many places charge excessively. A great play area is attached, well maintained with a small variety of play stations. Access generally is easy, paths and carpark even and smooth. Very well managed area. Easy five stars.
We use the car park for a walk around the beautiful barbon estate on a Sunday morning. There is a an honesty box to pay for it. Nice play area for the kids next too. Never been inside though.
Lovely village hall in this beautiful small village. Good parking also whilst visiting an antique fair here.
