Charger worked fine and was easy to find although expensive. However we were unaware that you have to pay for "parking" on top of paying for the expensive charge, so after charging for 1 hour during a road trip we received a £100 fine. There needs to be very clear signage that you must pay for parking AS WELL as paying for the charging. Will not come back here.
Love Instavolt, my go to charging points when on the road. Easy and user friendly.
Very easy to use, just tap your card and plug in. However ... Eighty five pence per kilowatt hour???????? Do note it's one hour free on the car park then £2.50 at the machine for the second hour. If you stay longer it's a £100 fine reduced to £50 if you pay straight away. Expensive mistake if you make it ...
I have used contactless with Instavolt before but this was the first time I had made use of their app. Seamless and easy. I only needed a slight top up to get me home and by the time I had bought my sandwiches (and a few bargains!) instore there was a suitable fast charge to see me through. I shall keep and eye on Booths stores as their other stores at Penrith and Barrowford have been useful too.
Charging was easy via the app but oh my crikey Instavolt are having a laugh pricing it at 87p/kWh. Daylight robbery.
