Kirby Lonsdale is so picturesque with lovely shops and walks. The Red Dragon Inn was a perfect base and in the heart of the town. I phoned on route to ask about parking and managed to get a space in the main square, which was a short walk to the hotel. After a day of exploring the area we ate at the Red Dragon Inn and the Beef Shin Cottage Pie was amazing! Check in was smooth and the room was well decorated and clean. After a good night's sleep we had a full English for breakfast before leaving. I would highly recommend the Red Dragon Inn and will be staying there again in the future. We loved a shop called Brockholes and Blacknoses which was opposite and the lovely bakery that is in the same street.

We have visited the Red Draggon twice a year for the last couple of years and always very much enjoyed our stay. Unsure wether it is new management but the rooms where clean but there was mild in bathe bathroom ceiling the white curtains at the window where dirty Usually you walk in in December to a roaring fire but apparently no logs as delivery had been delayed ? Why fid the management not go and buy some temporarily to keep them going until delivery Final straw was a cold breakfast of which we where offered a new one but had put us off as we as there for 2 nights we just made ourselves toast So disappointed just couldn’t believe it

Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay here. Lovely pub situated in the heart of the little town. The beer is expensive but the food is reasonable. We went for an overnight break in the town and found them the only ones serving food and they found us a table no problem. Friendly service and excellent food and would definitely call in again when visiting the area.

Lovely friendly pub/ restaurant with rooms above. Rooms clean & comfortable with nice tea, coffee etc. lighting a bit dark for our taste. Staff welcoming & friendly & Sharron served us breakfast & couldn't be nicer, warm & friendly. Generous well cooked breakfast thanks chef! Mabel our black lab made to feel very special too. Beautiful village & surrounding countryside. We highly recommend.

I stayed overnight recently. The room was comfortable & clean. When checking in the tables were all full with diners & there was a good atmosphere. However, the evening meal was not so busy making the place lacking in atmosphere & it soon emptied. When the staff started setting up for breakfast at 9 p.m., it left a very unwelcoming feeling.
