First time I visited there i immediately felt welcomed. I was there for the food bank and at a time of already feeling so low, I was instantly picked up with a nice smile and a coffee. What a fantastic place with so loving and heartfelt staff. Really moved.
A Church of England church with a nice community Hall. They run a Foodbank collection point and a food pantry there on Thursday and Monday
I am not religious but have visited this church on several occasions for non religious reasons. It is a nice, small church. Easily accessible but also in a quietish area and the staff and church-goers are very pleasant and welcoming
I like st George's church barnsley a lot but I really don't go as offen enough as I know I should and that's because of my mental health issues that I face on a daily basis and as a result of this I don't go out much as I generally feel scared to go out and I feel people will judge me all the time... but when I do get to go to church I always feel welcomed and a sense of belonging, which I haven't had much for many years but I suppose I feel the way I do is because of my youngest son!!! St George's church and David and jill welcomed me to their church a good few years ago and had help me out with my own issues with God and my youngest son had a naming assuming on a Thursday morning as I wanted my child to be bought up with God in his life but sadly he was adopted because of my mental health and my ex husband problems so I kinda feel like I'm now a lost cause and not fit enough to be in this world.x
Had a party here in the past and the venue was very accommodating. Thank you for having us! Hope to see you again with our party team in the future!
