Once again, I had a rather traumatic experience at the library. I asked to call the NHS, explain my situation, and get information on how the NHS can help in this situation. Unfortunately, the librarian thinks she's smarter than everyone else (she has a very inflated ego), chooses one thread from the entire matter, and focuses solely on that. Even though I interrupted her during the conversation and asked her to share what I requested, she didn't. She focused on explaining what I could have done at home online instead of explaining the consequences I was facing due to the NHS, and later the Polish National Health Fund. This is yet another time she failed to help, and she's handling things the wrong way. After the call, however, she gives me her own advice and interprets the situation in her own way, even though she hasn't shared a single word of what I asked for with the NHS. She also interrupts and doesn't let me get a word in edgewise. About six years ago, I asked her to call the numbers I provided and find me a typical small apartment (1 bedroom flat). I wanted it to be an apartment, not a room, an ensuite, or anything like that. She didn't listen to me then either and instead found me a studio apartment (a small room with a refrigerator and a tiny bathroom). I endured this cramped situation for six months and then found myself a typical apartment, where I'm still today. In short, I don't recommend it. P.S. When I made the phone appointment, I think I was talking to a different woman, and that confused me, because I thought the older, unpleasant woman probably wasn't working anymore, but I was mistaken and ran into her again.
A great place to go if you have any problems. It doesn't matter if you're Polish or not. A first-line resource for Poles in Barnsley and the surrounding area.
Very positive impressions, the ladies who work there are very polite and helpful.
It's great that someone is helping us Poles ♥️♥️♥️
