Amazing little softplay and open play area for under fives. Good food selection for adults and children. My sons allways has fun. The staff are warm amd welcoming. Easily my favourite place to take my little boy. X

We held our little boy’s 2nd birthday party here and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, Chris was fantastic — keeping in touch, answering questions, and keeping us fully up to date right up until the day of the party, which instantly put us at ease. When we arrived, everything was already set up and beautifully decorated, so we could just walk in and enjoy the moment without any stress. The party itself ran so smoothly. There was an amazing variety of toys and activities for the children, and one of the best things for us as parents was being able to see the kids at all times — even when we stepped away briefly for a brew, which made such a difference. The staff were attentive throughout without ever being intrusive. They kept the area tidy while the children were eating and were absolutely brilliant when it came to catering for allergies within our party. They even sliced and wrapped the birthday cake for us — and kindly saved the day by providing a lighter for the candles we had definitely forgotten! The food options for the children were great, and the adults were really pleased with the café food available during the party. Drinks were well priced, and most importantly, the children had the best time. The bubble party was a huge hit and had everyone smiling and laughing. Every guest commented on how brilliant the venue was and said they’d happily return for stay and play sessions in the future. Even the bigger kids got fully involved, which says a lot. A huge thank you to Chris and the whole team for making our little boy’s day so special, relaxed, and memorable. We couldn’t recommend this place more highly for a children’s party.

Chris and his team hosted us for a 4th birthday party and it was excellent! Booked a Sunday in advance for ~18 children plus parents etc. and was surprised at the reasonable cost for the party plus hot food. Chris greeted us and asked us how we wanted things to run and we were happy to go with his lead and adjust things as we wanted. Everything ran smoothly and his team were incredibly accommodating to our requests and allergies/intolerances with some of the kids in our party. Food was great (hot buffet) that was provided and fished out by parents from near the eating tables. Music was provided and cake cut as per our requests. All parents got hot drinks and things again were reasonably priced. We (and other parents), were really happy with the facilities and the soft-play and toy/dress-up play area. We visited in November and the site had recently been redecorated and was incredibly clean. Would recommend for parties with numbers up to 20 kids up to probably 4-5 years old. We had our daughter’s third birthday party yesterday and have nothing but positive things to say. Everything ran smoothly, nothing was too much trouble and the owner checked in regularly to make sure everything was okay. I would recommend play groots for play and for parties, it’s such a lovely well rounded venue with something for all ages and interests! Thank you again, everyone had a great time and we will be back!

Booked our daughters birthday party here with the previous owners. Despite only having very recently taken over the business, our booking was honoured with everything included and without question. I really appreciate the peace of mind this gave us. The place had been renovated and looked really nice, clean and spacious. The staff were fantastic and made sure my daughter and her friends had a fantastic time. The owner was also very attentive and helpful, even helping with the set up and cake cutting. Little personal touches, like playing music from Frozen, when we had a visit from Princess Elsa, (which we had arranged separately) really added to the experience. The party food was also really nice and well presented too. I would definitely recommend booking here for a kids party and we are looking forward to visiting for a play session in the future.
