The building is situated at the side of the new Barnsley Town Hall and the Police Station on Churchfields. There are car parks nearby but none that are specifically designated for court use, so on busy days there might be a bit of a walk to get to the building. It is currently used to hear trials only, but in October 2021, it is anticipated, due to the relaxation of Covid 19 regulations, that it will be dealing with a wider range of cases like it used to, in effect offering a much better service to the public. Drinks and vending machines in the public foyers are not currently in use due to the pandemic regulations. However the building is being maintained to the highest standards including hygiene sweeps throughout to combat the spread of the Covid 19 bacteria. A great effort by all involved.
I was kept awake for 3 days at a time by a family wanting to move me out of my home who then had someone attack me. Then accused me of attacking them. I'm disabled and was found guilty. A travesty of justice. Shame on Barnsley law courts.
Clean not to busy plenty of people to help but.. Staff or friends not sure let through security no checks so any currupted lawyer or other knows where to go!
Disabled access is hard going if you are walking
Decent polite knowledgeable staff
