Can't comment for the present, haven't been in for years, the five stars are for when I used to, it always was the pub that catered for people that loved the alternative music scene, spent some amazing times in there as a young man with my mates, especially down stairs as we referred to it. It's still open which says lots about it, proper pubs from a time when weatherspoons didn't exist, in my opinion that's when it started to go downhill, happy memories, just my opinion, keep going in, to the youngest of us all x

First time visiting here and have to say I was disappointed tried a pint of daily bread from abbeydale one of my favourite brewers unfortunately it was off (sour) The guy pulled me a pint of acorn stout which was ok but there was just no body to it. The pub itself is on two levels with plenty of seating the bar had about half a dozen ales mainly acorn brews friendly people inside and also dog friendly.

My band played a gig there. Staff were exceptional, especially young Char on the downstairs bar, although Martin and Shauna deserve a mention because they're mint. The shandy was nice, and the atmosphere downstairs was electric. It might have been because we were brilliant. Can't wait to play again or visit as a punter soon. We're called Misery Prize - look us up, we're mint.
