Brilliant little cafe & takeaway. Especially so if you stumble upon it while looking for gluten free food. Warm pie with peas and gravy & every cake was gf. Superb value and friendly staff. Definitely a 5* !
Love this independent place. In the Barnsley Interchange, handy for cyclists and travellers in the mornings. Wonderful gluten and dairy free cakes plus coffees, jackets, salads, panini, sandwich etc. Meal deal currently £4.50. Very reasonable prices and handy for the cycle hub/public transport. Handy to pop into when travelling. Serves hot food, and bagged dessert slices like a rocky road. Friendly staff who also have Cafe Creme in Penistone. They also provide catering for buffets which I have had at events and freshly made.
What an absolute delight to stumble upon Cafe Crème in Barnsley, a dedicated gluten-free café that truly goes above and beyond! I had the quiche, which was served warm and packed with flavour, accompanied by crisp coleslaw and a fresh, colourful salad. It was the perfect comforting yet healthy lunch. The tea was spot-on , strong, hot, and just how I like it. The service was warm and welcoming, with staff who clearly care about what they do. The atmosphere felt relaxed and friendly, and I couldn't stop eyeing up the cake counter , everything looked amazing! Honestly, I couldn’t believe a place of this calibre existed right here in Barnsley. I stepped off the train and it was like wow! What a find! I’ll definitely be back , the sausage rolls are next on my list, and I won’t be leaving without cake. A proper gem. Highly recommended for anyone gluten-free , or just anyone who appreciates great food and a warm welcome.
Popped in this morning for a coffee and bacon sandwich, friendly service and good quality coffee. Definitely recommend.
