The Wingman's Fried Chicken

Decent polite staff. Good quality food. Not the cheapest though which is understandable Chips are absolutely terrible. Needs some thin cut crispy salted fries imo. Slowly week by week the portion sizes on the tenders are getting smaller and smaller and when your paying a tenner for 7. 2 or 3 times a week. Its noticeable... Just as cheap to drive to marsdens in Huddersfield

Amazing, went due to social media, and was looking for a Wing fix, could have gone to Sheffield which is closer to me but there part of their marketing spiel is that they change the oil much more often than the majority chains. Do your self a favour, ditch Popeye's, KFC and other major chains, choose these guys. Much better value for money and taste. Really delicious.....I'm not kidding, my wife asked for a chicken sandwich with mayo, sorry not today !! I got here a chicken tender wrap with parmesan garlic. She wasn't very happy when I got back home and told her but once she had the first bite all was forgiven. Thanks Wingmans !!! Great food, great staff (the lady who served me was gorgeous !) No it wasn't Chanelle, could have been her mom though..... She gave my youngest some haribo while waiting.... Just great all round.

Amazing sauces, generous portions, two major issues. The fries & the chicken itself. The fries are unseasoned and could benefit from some garlic salt or paprika, could also be a better texture or cut as they’re quite underwhelming to chew. The chicken itself suffers immensely despite this establishment being a chicken-focused takeout, it is consistently overcooked; tough, stringy, dense, dry. The coating is flavourful, but the chicken itself is not. The popcorn chicken seems to be made with chunks of chopped up chicken opposed to minced chicken, which makes for an unpleasurable eating experience as they’re thick and chewy opposed to soft and moist.

The buffalo chicken is exactly how it should be—crispy, packed with flavour, and with just the right amount of heat. The loaded fries are on another level, properly topped and not just a few token bits thrown on like some places do. Every order is fresh, arrives hot, and is consistently good. If you’re craving proper fried chicken, this is the place.

Great staff. Thanks for the sample try. The tasty dips/toppings are all handblended by the owners wife. Will definitely be back for the parmesan chicken, it is awesome. Not tasted anything like it. The mango, sweet chilli chicken is hot n spicy...yumyum
