The car park is small and does get very busy during the day. There is usually a que of cars to get in this car park and you can be waiting 15 minutes or more to get in. If you plan and allow enough time then you will be fine. The location is good woth access to most departments. 15 minutes free once you get your ticket and go through the barrier.

Expensive for longer visits, but free for 15 minutes in case you can't find a space. This and the other 2 car parks fill up during the week, but are a little quieter at the weekends. The surrounding areas are for permit holders only apart from a side road about 10-15 minutes away. If you have an appointment, arrive much earlier to compensate for the likely queuing you're going to be doing.

Its hit and miss with this carpark, sometimes you are queuing to get in sometimes you get straight in. Pretty easy to park. The willow tree needs cutting it rubs onto the top of car when you drive in.

Can be a bit of a wait to get parked. Press button to get ticket at the barrier when the yellow light flashes Unless you are visiting the hospital enough times to make getting a weekly ticket. Which is £11.50 I think (April 2025). To get this weekly ticket you need to ask for the form and have it filled in by the ward you are visiting (nurse in charge). Then you take the form to the parking office window which is almost opposite the cashpoint machine. In the main foyer. Just pop your ticket into the machine when entering or into the exit machine when leaving. You retain the ticket. So look after it well. Renew by getting another form when that one expires. It will tell you what date and time it expires on the ticket.
