After experiencing appalling treatment at Hill Brow Surgery, I always try to get appointments at Rotherham Road. All the staff are super helpful and the Doctors take time to understand your ailment and really help you. They also follow up post visit to see how you’re getting on and do everything they say they’re going to. I went in today concerned about my newborn baby and the Doctor took around half an hour to properly assess him and offer lots of suggestions if he did change at all while we were at home. I didn’t feel rushed and she took a real interest in making sure he was alright. She also assessed me in the same appointment as part of a post natal check up despite me not being booked in. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice or it’s staff.

The nurse I saw yesterday was absolutely lovely. Really put me at ease during a procedure I always feel nervous about. Really appreciate the time she took to explain every step. I think her name was Leslie.

Have yet to have my appointment here but the receptionists were really helpful. Glad I changed to this doctor’s instead.

I act as the carer for my 93 year old mother. On 22 Nov I accompanied my mother to see doctor Levett because she had started having memory issues and also had a recurrence of a slow growing cancer issue on the bridge of her nose. The doctor said he'd refer my mother to the memory clinic and also to the Dermatology department at Barnsley hospital. I'm not sure why I chased up the memory memory clinic referral a week or two later, but I'm glad I did because for some reason the referral had not been made; I had to chase this referral up a further 2 times before it was actually done 13 Dec. It's now early Jan and not having heard from dermatology I chased up this referral with the hospital; you've guessed it-they had no record of receiving any referral so here we go again. Everyone at the practice is pleasant, but being pleasant doesn't cure my mother's ailments. I'd happily swap all the pleasantness for effectiveness. Staff just don't seem to do what they should do 1st time around. Getting through to the office staff on the phone is a joke (as I'm sure is the case for most practices these days) and when you finally do get through, after several hours of trying, all the office staff say is that they'll message the doctor to see what he things. HOW ABOUT CHASING UP THE ORIGINAL REFERRAL WITH THE HOSPITAL DIRECTLY AND THEN GETTING IN TOUCH WITH ME TO CONFIRM THINGS!!!!! Sorry for the uppercase, but when I see people clapping and celebrating our wonderful NHS I just shake my head in bewilderment. It needs root and branch reform and people need to be held accountable for their actions (or as is often my experience their inactions). If I could find another surgery to change to I would, but from reading reviews I see they're all just as bad.
