New Lodge Estate Post Office

Big old lady behind counter is absolutely rude as they come.... Apparently every post office is different but when I asked if she could try she then felt my fresh notes (taken out from the machine outside) and proceeded to ask Alex what he thought about the £10 😂😂😂😂😴😴 absolute fr eak of nature with a face to match the attitude ugly. How some respect for others. You thought someone was rude because I had to ask you to do your job properly. Then you offended me by checking my money Infront of me until I put £500 down for you to take ya pick from 🤷🏼‍♀️😆😆😆 #youlookstupid

The 2 younger ones working here are lovely. Always friendly and helpful. The older blonde one not so much. If she can't be bothered with the service you're there for she'll turn you away and ask you to come back later with the excuse that she's on her own and it's busy. I work in a small shop and often have to work alone but I'd be in trouble if I refused to serve customers with that excuse

Fantastic post office within walking distance of Athersley North, I've used this post office regularly now posting, collecting parcels among many things like DBS checks and the service from staff has been fantastic. It can get pretty busy at peak times but the queue does move. The same staff regularly who are lovely and friendly.

Walked in with a parcel that needed to go via parcel force. It was quite large, but well within the parcel force limits and well within the bounds of what would be reasonably considered a normal parcel. The two staff members took one look at it and told me they wouldn’t be able to take it. First they said it was too big to fit behind the counter, it wasn’t too big at all. I pointed out this was a rubbish excuse, the reason then switched to health and safety, no specifics just the phrase “health and safety”. They simply watched me walk in with a parcel that was bigger and heavier than usual, and decided they didn’t want to deal with it. The excuses were unbelievably laughable. Simply a display of pure laziness. I should have read previous reviews. I see I’m not the only one that’s had a similar problem at this post office.
