It’s not often I leave a one star review but the staff behaviour in this shop was just so unwelcoming. I went shopping with my mother, sister and her toddler daughter. From when we went into the shop it felt as though the staff were watching every move we made, and if we had local Barnsley accents I’d wonder if we’d have been surveilled the same. At one point as I was browsing, the young man working behind the cash register turns to me and rudely asks “are you going to buy these for your daughter” as he pointed to toys that I had not left there. I replied “sorry no I hadn’t put those there”. This interaction wasn’t pleasant but what happened when we went to check out was even more rude. After we put everything onto the checkout till he sighed and said “Jesus Christ” to our faces - as though us buying things was an inconvenience to him. We spent over £50 and as supporters of charity we were happy to purchase but it’s such a shame we experienced this horrible vibe. The receipt showed we were served by D.D, and I would hope management reading this can ensure future customers don’t experience his awful attitude.
My wife and I and my cousin and husband went to tinkers cafe arranged by age uk Barnsley We had a 2 course meal, tea and a quiz. The staff were excellent. Well done Age UK Barnsley
May 2022 they had a lot of wedding related things at the time. Generally good prices, small amount of books and dvds, big shop floor and looks like it could house a lot more stock.
The best shop in Barnslet, beautifully laid out, quality clothing at the most reasonable prices.
Canny place and does get a good veriety of items in worth a look
