Alhambra Shopping Centre

First time here, ,(day trip)and quite a good selection of shops - would have been handy for visitors if maps were available,(like our Metro Centre at Gateshead). No real places to sit, if tiring after a long day. Nice coffee shop at Coffee 2000, and food to eat at Masarellas (all closed up our way)!.

I'm pleased the council are finally starting to do something with this dump. The new NHS high street pilot is absolutely a positive and should be commended (hence the 3*). The shopping experience, however, has been dreadful for years (hence the 3*). Hopefully, it'll see a new lease of life now.

I'm from Rotherham but since visiting Barnsley and the alambra I'm hooked on how friendly the people and the shop keepers are for instance we past a shop called santaro and a young man called Scott who was stood in the door way of his shop and greeted us to Barnsley we chatted for ages about allsorts and we didn't feel rushed what a nice friendly guy our visit was on a Tuesday, not super busy which suits me and the wife as she has a mobility scooter, and found it easy to get about ,the whole Barnsley experience was so relaxing. We'll be back soon

The Alhambra Outpatients is shit. The receptionists were nice but we been there since 1:45 ish only just got home at 5:05pm there was a woman at eye sector that was shitty just because I said I'd shut door because they normally do and then my blind mum was sat there and they lowered the table crushing my mum's fingers and didn't even care so she's lucky the injuries aren't worse.

I have just spoken to a man called Mark at the Alhambra center. He answered the phone within 2 seconds and guided me to a shop that's moved. Many thanks Mark, have a great day.
