I bought a Brompton G Line electric from JE James Barnsley and Freddie and staff could not have been more helpful. Throughout the sale process I was encouraged that JE James Barnsley are part of the wider JE James group. First Brompton would not be able to supply the exact model I wanted until February 2026. JE James had a very similar model IN STOCK and an upgrade kit, at a lower price. Sweet! Another example was when I was able to test ride the G Line from the Sheffield branch, another bunch of Good Folks. Finally, when there was a problem with the first example of the G Line the Group had an alternative example IN STOCK which allowed me to get my shiny new Brommie wrapped up, sent to Santa and brought on her magic sled in time for Christmas Morning! I look forward to many years of further good service from ME James.

Brilliant service...rang up about a problem with my ebikes motor after updating and the very friendly guy at the workshop said bring it down and he will sort it. Which he did,and also gave me a brake pad spacer as the wheel was off. Didn't need to. Legend. This kind of service will make me come and buy from Je James. And recommend it for others.

Fantastic service throughout, very knowledgeable staff helped me and my kids each get the bikes we needed. Having only ever shopped at places like Halfords for bikes, I was pleasantly surprised to find out they assembled and tested the bikes for free! Will certainly be coming again for future purchases, especially for the kids, the bikes I got them (frogger) are much lighter and better quality than anything from Smyths/halfords

Great evening at the J.E James - Giant Store (Barnsley) Free Cycle Maintenance Class. Took my daughter along, after her 3rd puncture in a month she’ll definitely be able to repair a flat next time. Massive thank you to the two Adam’s for hosting the evening 🚴‍♂️😁 — at JE James Cycles Barnsley.

Amazing 10/10 service yesterday from Adam. We were seriously considering an e-bike had lots of questions. Nothing was too much trouble and there was no hard sales pitch. Very knowledgeable as to a broad range of bike specs. Really clear labelling on each bike in the showroom. Clean store and lots of attention to detail. Beautiful clothing, shoes, supplies etc. Highly recommend this store.
