ibis Styles Barnsley

Stayed for 5 nights. Now don't get me wrong the hotel is clean and the staff are great. We arrived and all seemed great but the first morning we had no heating or hot water when mentioned to the receptionist she explained that the timer was out and would get sorted. We went on our merry way and the hot water was working on our return and heating back on. Great we thought. The next night woken by the fire alarm and 3.30am. Can't blame the hotel for this but wasn't a nice experience. Ok we carried on the next day albeit a little more tired!!! When we returned our room door had been left insecure by the cleaners. Lucky nothing of value was left in the room but the idea of people being able to access our private room is a little worrying. Also having to flush the toilet several times for the paper to go. Spoke to reception about this issue and she couldn't help as no maintenance on site over the weekend. I can't knock the hotel but I wouldn't book again. Can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't have it. But did have a drink in the bar and the lemonade was flat!

We always stay at the Ibis in Barnsley when we visit, every single time we have visited, our stay has been lovely. The staff are always incredibly friendly, kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the amenities are fantastic. We won't even consider booking anywhere else now when we come to visit our family.

Lovely clean hotel. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Nice walk in shower. Modern rooms. Check in was easy. Did not eat at the hotel.

Great value for money, good size rooms, good breakfast (very, very good breakfast for the price). I've stayed here a couple of time for 2 nights each time, I prefer Barnsley Ibis to Sheffield city centre Ibis, I've stayed there 8 nights over 2 different weeks but both have been fantastic value and both worked well for me.

lovely stay at this hotel, rooms clean and has everything you’d need/want. great service from staff throughout the hotel. would definitely stay here again.
