I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. This family-run Afghan restaurant in Batley is an absolute gem and deserves all the support it can get. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The owner Khalid is warm, welcoming and clearly passionate about what he does. His son Hamza was equally attentive, and Mariem, the lovely waitress, made sure we were looked after throughout – friendly, polite and professional. Now the food… simply amazing. For £14.99 the value for money is unbelievable. We received: • A huge lamb shank (around ½kg), perfectly cooked and full of flavour • A massive portion of fragrant pilau rice • A small curry sauce dip with meat • Fresh salad • A huge freshly baked naan bread On top of that, water and tea were complimentary, which just shows how generous and customer-focused they are. Everything tasted authentic, fresh and cooked with care. Portions were more than generous, prices were extremely fair, and the overall experience was faultless. If you’re looking for great food, great service and great prices, this is the place to go. Please do yourself a favour and come down to support this wonderful family-run business – you won’t leave disappointed. I’ll definitely be returning!

🌟 Kabulwala Restaurant — A place where flavor, warmth, and juicy kebabs welcome you all at once! 🌟 Today I had an experience at Kabulwala Restaurant that honestly left me amazed. The moment I walked in, I was met with a beautiful, peaceful, and calming atmosphere—the kind of vibe that instantly relaxes you and makes you want to stay longer. But the real magic? The Food! Their kebabs were incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor—so delicious that with the very first bite I literally thought Who is this chef? A magician? The meat was hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked, with an aroma that could boost anyone’s appetite. Even just smelling it feels satisfying! And now to the part I will never forget ⭐ The Boss Warm Smile ⭐ The Boss greeted us with such a kind, gentle, and genuine smile that it felt like every customer was truly valued. No rush, no attitude—just pure hospitality and pleasant conversation. Honestly, his smile alone doubles the charm of the restaurant. 💫 Final Thoughts: If you want an experience where the food surprises you, the atmosphere calms you, the kebabs melt in your mouth, and the manager’s smile brightens your day, then Kabulwala is absolutely the place to visit.I will definitely be coming back again… And I’m still thinking about those kebabs!

Just had the dinner with my family and the experience is great. We ordered Dumpukht, chicken shish, fries and cola for the kids. The actual food sense was there especially for the Dumpukht. If ypu are a Desi food lover you must give a chance to this Resturant. 10/10

Kabuliwala has now relocated to a bigger and better venue compared to their previous Bradford Road site. I visited on the second day of their opening. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much of a warm welcome when we arrived - instead, the staff stared at us and stood in the entrance, blocking our way. I had to ask if they were open to break the ice. Hopefully, this was just down to new staff still settling in, as a bit of hospitality training would make a big difference. Minor teething issues like this are expected early on and will hopefully be resolved soon. We were then offered the choice between dining at a table or in one of the private booths. We opted for a booth for comfort and privacy. Only two booths were in use, with the third being used as a prayer space which was good to see. The booths were clean and tidy, though the 6000K bright white lighting was a bit harsh and took away from the ambience. Some warmer lighting would really help set the mood. There was also no background music, which made the restaurant feel rather quiet. Adding some soft background audio would really improve the atmosphere. That said, the overall aesthetics were clean and welcoming. The menu offers a good variety of dishes. Our food arrived in around 30 minutes. There was a small mix-up with our order, but it was quickly resolved without any fuss - great customer service there, and they definitely redeemed themselves. The food itself was excellent, just as expected. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the chicken sheesh was tasty. The chapli kebabs were a bit smaller than what nearby competitors serve, but arguably better in flavour. Overall, a good experience and I’d definitely visit again. HMC approved. Card payments accepted. On-street parking available nearby.

The food was mouth-watering. The Kabuli pulao, chapli kebab, and lamb karahi were very tasty; everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. My only complaint was the slow service, as it took forever to get anything, especially the mint sauce or cutlery. Other than that, I have no complaints
