I’m honestly really upset by what I saw today at this place in Batley. Two teenage boys, who weren’t doing anything wrong, were suddenly told to leave. They weren’t being loud, rude, or causing any problems — just walking around quietly. When one of them politely asked why they were being asked to go, the owner came charging towards him in an aggressive way, pointing his finger right in the boy’s face and shouting, “I’m the owner, I own the building!” It was really intimidating — not just for them, but for everyone who saw it. He scared both the boys and me too. What stood out to me most was how calm and respectful the boy stayed the whole time. He didn’t raise his voice or say anything rude; he just asked a simple question and handled himself so maturely. You could tell he’s been raised very well — with good manners and respect, even when being treated unfairly. The owner’s excuse was that it’s a “family place,” yet I saw other people walking around as couples, clearly not married, and that seemed to be fine. It felt completely unfair and hypocritical. No one deserves to be spoken to or treated like that, especially teenagers who were just minding their own business. It honestly left me feeling shaken and disappointed. A “family place” should feel welcoming and safe for everyone — not somewhere where young people are made to feel small or threatened.

Re-visited sibus after a year and it seems like the recipe for dynamite prawns has changed. The flavouring isn't the same. The noodles were not as great as the first time. It was a shame that people were walking in with 50% off vouchers which were sent by friends and others were having to pay full. Food was great and would visit again
