Original review: Returng to dance after a very long gap raising children & progressing a career. I was really excited to find this place advertising a "personal shopper experience". I booked an appointment on a date & time that'd be a 20min detour from a work journey & give me 1 hour in the shop. I needed shoes, class & practice wear with particular focus on layers for warm ups. I also had plenty of money & was highly motivated to spend it due to the excitement of returning to a hobby I loved. I arrived 2mins late, but my "assistant" was a further 10mins. She was great with the shoes & brought out exactly what I needed..... but it took her 10mins to fetch them. Then 10 mins to fetch 2 other item which I had to show her on their website. After my hour I had to go, I left with with only shoes & feeling really deflated & frustrated. I use personal shoppers a lot, you give them your sizes, give a rough idea of what you want & these talented people bring out arms full of items that in their opinion, are what you need. You then try on, ask opinions/advice & leave having spent twice as much as you anticipated because the expert did a great job. All done, no further shopping trips needed for a while. Unfortunately though, this was NOT a personal shopper experience so please don't make extra effort to go here expecting to leave fully advised & kitted out. I'd return if I could get a genuine personal shopper, but I don't think they really understand what personal shopping is & why people use it. Nice shop though, seem to have an awful lot of stock but it's stored "out back" & not much to browse on the shop floor for adults. It was also easy to find via Google maps & parking was available.

We attended Planet Dance having booked an appointment before travelling from Scarborough. We were early but welcomed in and given first class service and attention to ensure both my wife and myself left with ballroom shoes that fit comfortably and which we liked. The prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend. A first class experience.

What a hidden Gem! I had found them via Google when looking for a place to buy Leotards for my daughter's gymnastics. This is lovely inside and the shop is lovely. Great range of dancewear. They had a few Gymnastics pieces out, the staff explained that they don't get many gymnasts in but they do stock the items. Staff were very helpful and my daughter selected a good variety of leotards to try on before she made her choice. The leotards were lovely and we ate so pleased with them and the prices are good. I will definitely be returning.
